Grimm is a decorative blackletter typeface that draws inspiration from the artistic style of Tim Burton and Textura blackletter of northern medieval Europe. Just like with Textura, the overall body width is kept relatively thin while maintaining high contrast between thick and thin strokes. The hairline serifs on the a, i, j, and u as well as the dotted flourishes are a gentle nod to the Tim Burton style. Notable features include sharp, angular counters and thick strokes resembling those made with a chiseled nib. Grimm can be used in (but not limited to) alternative magazine spreads and book covers.
Merriam-Webster defines the word “normal” as “usual or ordinary: not strange.” We as humans want to fit in with our peers. We buy trendy clothes, cut our hair, and act in similar ways to achieve this and to not be labeled different or weird. But what constitutes someone or something as normal? Why is weird bad?
This photo film shows how we as humans react to someone (Matthew Silver) acting in a way that is not considered normal. Notice how the children and animals are the first to interact with this man. They have no preconceived ideas. Some adults eventually let their guards down and join him. In that moment there is acceptance.
CRAFT magazine is a craft beer magazine geared towards
a young hip audience inclusive of all genders. As a woman who loves beer it can be difficult to navigate the craft beer world; a world currently dominated by men. I wanted to create a magazine that looks and feels different from what is already on the market.
Mental illness is still heavily stigmatized. Mostly because people are ashamed and try to hide it. A lot of people who suffer from depression and anxiety are frequently misunderstood by others. People assume we are being dramatic or overreacting when they really don’t understand what we go through.
This book gives a visual insight to living with depression and anxiety.
Me Against Myself is a film with accompanying book about my daily struggles with anxiety and depression. The aim of the film is to convey to the viewer the overwhelming pressure and chaos that comes with this disease.

I wanted the viewer of my film to feel for a few minutes what depression and anxiety is really like. By projecting images onto a white wall and editing them to unsettling music I created the feeling of discomfort and chaos. This is meant to simulate a combination of depression and anxiety.
Created for the Flood Wall Street march, this poster supports the message of calling corporate America accountable for its role in pollution.
